Practice Areas:

Bill Brant litigates primarily in general civil litigation, personal injury, and defense, environmental law, defense of air crews in FAA actions, and mediation.

Background and Education:

Bill graduated from UT El Paso with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering while playing varsity baseball and earned a MS in Nuclear Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1972.  Bill began his career with the Tennessee Valley Authority.  He left TVA to become a nuclear engineer for Brown & Root on the South Texas Project while graduating from night law school at South Texas College of Law.  He was licensed by the Texas Bar in 1978.  Bill practiced law with the Law Offices of Windle Turley in Dallas, W. James Kronzer and Luke Soules during the South Texas Project litigation, the San Antonio firm of Stolhandske & Conley, and the San Antonio branch of the national law firm Speiser, Krause & Madole, prior to joining the Firm in 1993.  Bill is a professional engineer in the State of Texas and holds United States Patent No. 5,058,885.

Professional Activities/Associations:

  • Admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court, the U. S. Court of Appeals, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the U. S. District Courts – Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.
  • The State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, San Antonio Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Kendall County Bar Association, American Association for Justice.
  • Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association – Instrument Rated Private Pilot.
  • Panel Attorney for Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.


  • Presided as Judge over Volunteer Teen Court.
  • Graduate Leadership Boerne.
  • Lecturer in Engineering Ethics at UT-San Antonio and local engineering societies.
  • Invited Lecturer on Nuclear Threats, UTSA Political Science & Geography Department (graduate level certification and masters degree programs).
  • Selected to present Paper as Member of the Oxford University Round Table in Oxford, England entitled “Professional Ethics as Must for the Global Society of the Twenty-First Century.”

Bill is married to Pam with three children and seven grandchildren.
