Kelly Rogers concentrates her practice in appellate law. She also provides litigation support from an appellate perspective. She is married to Steve Rogers and they have two daughters.
Background and Education:
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ms. Rogers represents the fifth generation in a long line of attorneys. In 1989 she graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. In 1993, she obtained her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She joined the firm in 2001.
Ms. Rogers gained invaluable appellate experience serving as briefing attorney for Chief Justice Alma L. López and staff attorney for Justice Karen A. Angelini on the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio.
In private practice, Ms. Rogers has prosecuted and defended appeals and mandamus proceedings in nine of the fourteen Texas courts of appeals, as well as the Supreme Court of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits.

(1) Superior Energy Services, Inc. v. Sonic Petroleum Services, Ltd., 328 S.W.3d 623 (Tex. App.—Eastland 2010, no pet.) (defended denial of special appearance by out-of-state corporate parents)
(2) In re International Profit Associates, Inc., 286 S.W.3d 921 (Tex. 2009, orig. proceeding) and In re International Profit Associates, Inc., 274 S.W.3d 672 (Tex. 2009, orig. proceeding) (obtained mandamus relief in two separate forum selection clause cases in Texas Supreme Court).
(3) Collins & Aikman Floorcoverings, Inc. v. Thomason, 256 S.W.3d 402 (Tex. App.—San Antonio 2008, pet. denied) (defended multi-million dollar jury verdict in quantum meruit case)
(4) In re Argyll Equities, LLC, 227 S.W.3d 268 (Tex. App.--San Antonio 2007, orig. proceeding) (obtained mandamus relief from a pre-judgment writ of attachment freezing client’s assets)
(5) Thomason v. Collins & Aikman Floorcoverings, Inc., 2004 WL 624926 (Tex. App.—San Antonio 2004, pet. denied) (obtained reversal of summary judgment in quantum meruit case)
(6) Cordillera Ranch v. Kendall County Appraisal District, 136 S.W.3d 239 (Tex. App.–San Antonio 2004, no pet.) (defended summary judgment granted to property tax appraisal district in case involving construction of wildlife management property tax exemption)
